Observe walking

• spasticity = stiff & jerky on a narrow base
• parkinson’s disease = shuffling gait
• cerebellar ataxia = broad base + unstable
• sensory ataxia = broad base & high stepping
• foot drop = high stepping gait
• hemiplegia = plantar flexed foot with leg swung in arc
